Coffee trees can be roughly divided into five types, with Arabica and Robusta being the more common. Arabica species account for over 70% of the world's total production, and are generally planted on slopes above 900 meters above sea level. They are mostly found in tropical high-altitude areas such as Central and South America, East Africa, Southeast Asia, and Hawaii. Its pleasant aroma and rich taste, as well as the need for a lot of manual care and high stability in temperature and humidity in the climate, make it relatively expensive. Roche, which has strong adaptability to the environment, accounts for 30% of the world's total production. Its flavor is mediocre, with a bitter taste, and more importantly, its caffeine content is 2-3 times that of Arabica. It generally grows on slopes with an altitude of 200-600 meters and has low requirements for artificial care, so the price is relatively low and it is mostly used for canned and instant coffee.

A thin layer of coffee oil emerges on the surface of the coffee, which is the source of the attractive aroma of Italian coffee.
